Description
Previous Monster Girl Valentines:
Ochre Jelly, Genie, Marilith, Medusa, and Illithid.
Is there a path into the depths of your heart? Is it direct or circuitous? Is there more than one way in? Is there more than one destination?
In thinking about D&D minotaurs, I've really become fond of their natural ability to navigate without error and even shrug off maze spells, which I posit gives them the ability to solve even the most complex maze patterns at a glance. Given that they're said to incorporate such patterns into their clothes and equipment, they could encode into their patterns all kinds of meaning that they could instantly read. Like our real-world symbols, this would probably include arbitrarily assigning qualities to numbers, directions, and such, but some of the ideas represented might be quite accessible to us.
As for this particular minotaur, she's part of my Monster Valentine series. This year, I also considered doing a sphinx, kappa, or kitsune (in kemonomimi form), so I guess that I was in a furry mood. As in my Monster Manual I Lineup from years ago, I thought that a female minotaur was an excellent opportunity to draw more than two breasts on a figure, something that's interested me since I first saw the cover of The Warrior and the Sorceress as a child.
Also, because I couldn't decide which looked best, she's available in four different colors, so you can choose for yourself.
